The NotWedding offers an interactive alternative to a bridal show in the form of a big, fake wedding.
Brides- and grooms-to-be in the greater Birmingham area are invited to attend the 2nd Birmingham NotWedding. The event will be held on Thursday, September 25th at 7:00pm at The Avon Theater. The NotWedding is a bridal show alternative in the form of a big, fake wedding. “Wedding Guests” are brides- and grooms-to-be who enjoy an emotional ceremony, a tasty dinner and a dance-party reception while truly experiencing the wedding vendors in action.
Local couple, Nedra and Jeremy, have been married for six years and will use the event to renew their wedding vows. Those attending will experience a perfectly planned “wedding” and have the opportunity to meet the vendors behind the scene.
Tickets include an emotional (fake) wedding ceremony encouraging strong marriages, a delectable catered dinner, and a reception full of sparkling wine, dancing and dessert. The NotWedding also promises a handful of surprises planned for the guests throughout the evening.
The event will showcase local wedding vendors such as photographers like Still Breath Photography,
beverage catering from The Bar Hops, baker Cakes by Kim, event rentals from Prophouse Birmingham, and many more.
Tickets are $30 and includes dinner, dancing, sparkling wine and a swag bag. Tickets are available online at http://www.thenotwedding.com/events/the-2nd-birmingham-notwedding/.
The NotWedding was launched in Atlanta in 2008 and has since grown into multiple markets. For more information on The NotWedding, please visit www.thenotwedding.com and for more information on the Birmingham NotWedding, please visit thenotwedding.com.
