Holly and Charlton’s Veranda on Highland Wedding

Charlton + Holly from Kinora Films on Vimeo.

Today is our creative director, Holly Hollon’s third anniversary. We are excited to share her wedding here to celebrate. Holly and Charlton were married at Briarwood Presbyterian Church, where they both grew up. Holly, a calligrapher and graphic designer, designed all her paper goods which set the tone for the day. The letterpress printing was done in copper metallic tone which was inspired by the rose gold of her engagement ring. The reception took place at the Veranda on Highland, an intimate setting with delicious elegant food with a southern flare. With the help of her family and friends, Holly hand crafted many of the decor detail at the reception, such as the tissue paper flowers that hung on rose gold branches and the ribbon streamers that were used at the send off. The bride’s cake by Olexa’s was chocolate, Holly’s favorite, coated with a light peach colored icing and a banner of calligraphy. Holly says “Diane Olexa was so fun to work with in designing the cake, she took my illustrations of roses and cotton and laurel wreaths and recreated them on the cake.” For the groom’s cake, there was a table full of carrot cake bites, almond cake, chocolate mouse bon bons and nuts decorated with small ribbon and paper flags, all arranged on cake stands, heirloom silver platters, and vintage books. Ribbon streamers and rose petals sent the couple off in a avocado green beetle bug, and Stephen followed the couple to their new home for some last photos.
