Ivory and White

What are you favorite current wedding dress looks / trends?
I love what Lela Rose is doing with her intricate beaded embroideries. The Central Park, Thompkins Square, and Manor styles in particular are really beautiful and take a fresh spin on the traditional lace without being lace! I’m also loving all of the sleeves right now, such a gorgeous feminine look.

What are you looking for when purchasing gowns for the shop?
When I go to market, which is twice a year, I look for dresses that are unique but also timeless. I think brides want to stand out but also don’t want to look back on their dress one day and say, “What was I thinking?” I also look for dresses in a wide range of price points so we can cater to all of the different budgets that come into Ivory and White.

What do you think makes Ivory and White successful?
I think the main thing that makes Ivory and White successful is that we always put the customer first. I want every bride that walks into our doors to feel special and leave feeling like they had an amazing experience¬†from beginning to end. It also doesn’t hurt that we have some of the best wedding gown designers out there!!

What is your best piece of advice to brides beginning to dress shop?
Do a little research. Look through magazine, websites, and blogs. We love when brides come in with their secret Pinterest boards! It is also important to think about who you want to come with you to your appointment. You want people you trust and will keep your style, not theirs, in mind. Also, knowing your budget ahead of time helps!

Who has been your favorite recent celebrity wedding dress?
That would definitely be Elisha Cuthbert. She wore a Monique Lhuillier called Memory that we have in the store! It is so feminine and timeless. Elisha looked stunning in it!

Ivory and White is located in Crestline Village.
