From Mary Margaret :: Melanie and Justice chose some awesome spots for their engagement photos. To start, we met at on of their favorite restaurants, Ollie Irene. They had a couple of cute drinks and we took photos around the bar/restaurant. This place is so great – I loved the decor and atmosphere. I actually ate here recently for the first time and it is SO GOOD. They get super busy at dinner, but we lucked out and had the place to ourselves for a little bit right as they opened.
After taking some photos in and around Ollie Irene, we headed up to Vulcan Park. Melanie works at Vulcan and had access to some beautiful areas of the park that are not currently open to the public. We loved the overgrown feel of everything, and Melanie described it perfectly as “secret garden-like.” Some of the backdrops we used were cable car and mine entrances – loved it!
This shoot was so fun! It was great spending the afternoon with Melanie and Justice, who were just too cute together. They thought they would be awkward in the photos (Justice even had some actual awkward/hilarious poses ready to go), but they were so natural and fun to photograph! I am so excited about their wedding later this year!
